Back in San Fran and its Ketchup Time!

Wednesday, May 7, 2014

Okay, so you know Im busy when I resort to headlines as crappy as this one! By the way, thats suppose to be a ketchup swan. We had a fun week despite the cold snap, and our plane made it back to the City without any geese-related issues.

Ive only answered a small portion of the built up email, and have plenty of writing to catch up on for About.com, as well as this blog of course. If Ive ignored any of your emails or comments (this includes friends and relatives), I will get to you eventually, so thanks for your patience.

Not sure exactly when the next new video recipe will be posted, but it should be soon! Until then, stay warm, and no matter what you are doing, enjoy!

Hello from Little Rock – Im So Busy Its Scary!

Saturday, March 29, 2014

Well, I was hoping to have a new video up today, but there just wasnt any time. We put in a full day getting all the scrips finalized and recipes prepped for the eight videos Im here to film for Kelloggs Snackpicks.com (here are a couple iPhone pics of the studio). The next couple days dont look to get any easier, as tomorrow we begin shooting at 7 AM, and the same on Wednesday.

So, the best I can do is a frighteningly quick Halloween-themed re-run recipes post. To make it an even lamer post, other than the cheese fingers below, I dont even really have any typical Halloween recipes, but all these could work well if your planning a party and looking for some ideas. Just click on the title for the original post with ingredients and more info. Boo!! (yes, that was a double entendre)

Penne Pasta with Neck Sauce – Perfect for that vampire-themed party!

Pumpkin Brulee - Because if it has pumpkin in it, its cool for Halloween!

"Severed Fingers" Cheese Sticks – So wrong, yet so right!

SFQ Makes its Debut!

Sunday, March 9, 2014

Today, my wife Micheles fabulous barbecue sauce, SFQ – The Original San Francisco Style Barbecue Sauce, will make its debut at The New Taste Market. Were excited to see how this unique sauce will be received by the always discerning San Franciscan foodies. I think the fact that we are serving the sauce with fried pork rinds should help (called Q-Chips).

Ill probably be tweeting pics from the event, so you can follow me on Twitter if youre interested – or better yet, if youre in the Bay Area, come over to the market and have a taste for your self. Its at St. Gregory’s church, 12-5PM.

By the way, I will have a new video recipe up tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Happy New Year! Its 2000 and Ate!

Monday, January 20, 2014

I want to wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year! May your 2008 be filled with lots of delicious food, and many memorable meals. Sorry I dont have a black-eyed pea recipe video to go along with this cool photo, but hey its New Years Day, and my last "day off" for a while. As many of you may know, black-eyed peas are a very traditional New Years day meal in the American south. Its usually served with greens, which represents money and prosperity, while the peas represent all the good luck youre going to have in the year to come. So, heres to lots of greens and peas in 2008. Enjoy!
